Mrs. Kalpana Patil Shidori
From Our Kitchen To Yours

The Tradition of Shidori

I started with a very simple idea out of my home kitchen: “My children should eat homemade, nutritious food every day, especially when they are away from home.”

What started as small batches made for my children, friends, and family slowly became something bigger, driven by trust, word-of-mouth, and an uncompromising belief in clean, honest, delicious food. Nourishment should always feel comforting, like home food.

What started in our kitchen as homemade food for our family has grown into Shidori, a brand rooted in Indian traditions, clean ingredients, and mother’s wisdom, adapted for today’s busy lifestyles. We aim to bridge the growing gap between highly processed western “health foods” and the real, wholesome foods Indian households grew up eating.

The Journey of Shidori

From a Mother's Kitchen
2021 — 2023

From a Mother’s Kitchen

Mrs. Kalpana Patil wanted to ensure her busy children had nutritious, wholesome food to fuel their long days away from home. In her kitchen, she began hand-rolling laddoos and bars using traditional ingredients — simple, nourishing, and made with love. Originally known as K.P. Foods, the food spoke for itself. Friends & Family tasted the difference, trusted the purity, and word spread organically — one home at a time.

Food for the Journey

The brand evolved into “Shidori,” honoring the roots of the tradition while embracing a distinctive new identity. This phase defined “Shidori” as a meal prepared for the journey. Food that is simple, nourishing, and made with a mother’s love & care. To uphold the same homemade standards, Mrs. Patil remains deeply involved in every detail — from meticulously selecting high-quality ingredients to ensuring every batch carried the same care as the very first one.

From a mother’s kitchen to the world, Shidori’s mission remains unchanged: to share authentic, homemade Indian nourishment rooted in tradition, crafted with love, and meant for every journey.
